Our Story

2024

Where it
begins.

Nuruni Technologies was built out of a simple frustration — organisations across East Africa doing extraordinary work with no digital presence to show for it. Churches with hundreds of members and no website. Businesses that couldn't be found online. Communities invisible to the world.

Godson and Peter have known each other since their university days in Tanzania. When Godson returned from years abroad in Sweden and the United States, and Peter had built a decade-long career managing USAID-funded programmes at Deloitte, they both saw the same gap — and decided to do something about it together.

Today, Nuruni Technologies operates as a full-service digital studio and product company — working with clients globally while building in-house products that solve real problems in East Africa.

The People Behind It

Two founders.
One mission.

Godson Justin

Godson Justin

Co-Founder & CEO

Over a decade of experience spanning Tanzania, Sweden, and the United States — from community development and government planning to digital product strategy.

Godson sees technology as infrastructure for communities, and builds accordingly. He trained at the University of Dodoma, completed a Master's in Public Planning at Örebro University in Sweden, and is currently pursuing an MS in Cybersecurity Management in the United States.

Peter Gindo

Peter Gindo

Co-Founder

14 years managing finance and grants for multi-million dollar donor-funded programmes at Deloitte Consulting Tanzania — overseeing $20M+ in annual budgets. The creator of BwanaShamba, an AI-powered agronomist supporting smallholder farmers across Tanzania.

Peter was instrumental in designing and building the Grants Fund Tracking System — a web application that tracks donor funds issued to grantees. BwanaShamba guides farmers from planning through harvest, with check-ins, record keeping, and tools to help them access financial support. He pairs deep operational expertise with a genuine passion for technology that serves everyday communities. He and Godson have known each other for over 20 years, united by a shared passion for technology and community development.

What We Believe

Not values.
A way of working.

01

Community before aesthetics

A beautiful product that doesn't serve real people is decoration. We start with the people and design around their world.

02

Ownership, not outsourcing

Two founders — fully hands-on. We don't subcontract your project to a stranger. Your product gets our direct, undivided attention.

03

Rooted in Africa, built for anyone

We are proudly East African — but we build for clients and communities everywhere. That grounding gives us a perspective most studios don't have.

04

Ship, then improve

We move fast and launch with intention. A working product in the world beats a perfect one stuck in development forever.

Let's build something real.

Whether you have a clear project in mind or just the seed of an idea — we're ready to talk.
